ANDREW SCANLON
Andrew is Principal Consultant at Andrew Scanlon and Associates. He provides sustainability, environmental, management system and strategy advice to industry. Andrew has managed sustainability, environment and safety for Australia’s largest renewable energy business, establishing and managing a large and successful environmental and sustainability consultancy for the company. Andrew has conducted environmental impact and sustainability assessments on hydro-electric projects in a number of countries. He has specialist skills in management system development, environmental auditing and communications. He has presented on various topics at a number of international conferences, delivering training programs and workshops in a variety of countries. Andrew led the development of the International Hydropower Association’s (IHA) Sustainability Guidelines (2004) and Sustainability Assessment Protocol (2006). In 2007 he was IHA Climate Change Specialist. He also led the development of the World Wind Energy Association’s Sustainability and Due Diligence Guidelines (2005) and is Chairman of the Tasmanian company Natural Resource Management (NRM) South
