ANAMAYA UPADHYAY
Anamaya Upadhyay is a civil engineering professional currently based in Perth, Australia, specialising in the hydropower sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University in Nepal, with nearly 12 years of experience in construction, planning, and management across multiple countries.
Anamaya’s skill set encompasses project coordination and leadership of design teams for over 20 projects, contributing a total of more than 850 MW to his renewable energy portfolio, with individual projects ranging from 5 MW to 110 MW. Throughout his career, he has performed detailed engineering designs, particularly in hydraulic design, and has made his contribution to produce high-quality reports and drawings. Anamaya has a solid grasp of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, having successfully implemented these standards as an internal auditor within his organisation
Additionally, Anamaya has extensive experience in International Competitive Bidding (ICB) and National Competitive Bidding (NCB), preparing technical and financial proposals, as well as contract documents. As the Provisionally Accredited Assessor for Hydropower Sustainability Standards, Anamaya has contributed to significant projects, including the San Roque Hydropower Project in the Philippines and the Mai Beni Hydropower Project in Nepal.
