PELLE BÅGESUND
Pelle is a hydrologist and project manager at Sweco International. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and has 11 years of broad experience from both the environmental and engineering sectors dealing with both technical as well as strategic aspects of project and programme cycles. He has experience in management of projects in interdisciplinary teams and various cultural settings as well as from engineering consulting projects in the fields of hydrologic/hydraulic studies, dam safety and IWRMs both in Scandinavia and in developing countries. From 2016 – 2021 he was working in the multilateral international organization and NGO sector across the Eastern and Southern African region on levels spanning from community up to regional/international level. This experience has involved community consultations, various assessments of environmental and social aspects, project management/coordination as well as programme development with a thematic focus on resilience, nature-based solutions, integration of green and grey infrastructure, ecosystem services, conservation and disaster risk reduction.
