GEORGIA CHIN
Georgia is an engineer for Sarawak Energy Berhad, based in Sarawak, Malaysia. Her responsibilities are to manage the Front-End Loading for transmission projects in the Projects Department and involve in developing and implement Best Practices in the Project Management Office to achieve consistency and standardization of project management processes. She holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Business Administration from University Malaysia Sarawak and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Swinburne University. She is also a Project Management Professional certified by Project Management Institute, PMI. She has been involved in hydropower projects as part of the Project Team for Hydropower Projects in Sarawak and has experienced in the Conceptual and Pre-Engineering Phase. She has been exposed to the Hydropower Sustainable Assessment Protocol since 2012 and has taken part in various internal HSAP Assessments and official assessment for Sarawak Energy projects. On top of her current main responsibilities in the Front-End Loading of Transmission Projects, she is working alongside with the Sustainability Team in Sarawak Energy to ensure implementation of best practices.
